ППК16 rotary cam switches are used as switching devices in AC circuits at frequencies of 50, 60 Hz with rated operating voltages of 24…380 V and DC circuits with rated operating voltages of 24…220 V, and as voltmeter and ammeter selector switches in control and automation systems

GENERAL INFORMATION
The switches can be used in electrical equipment for industrial and agricultural machinery, inland and seagoing vessels, lifting equipment, railway operations, and electricity control and distribution equipment for municipal utilities and industrial enterprises.

The switches are assembled from identical plastic sections containing a contact system whose moving contacts are actuated by cams mounted on a common square-section metal shaft.

Number of switched circuits — from 1 to 20.

Number of handle switching positions — from 2 to 8.

The contacts use a normal break-before-make switching sequence: opening contacts break before closing contacts make, with a minimum interval of 5 ms.

The switches have a stop that limits handle travel at the end positions.

The switch terminals accept one or two conductors with pin-prepared ends and cross-sections from 1,0 to 4,0 mm2.
