ВВ/РТН 10 kV Vacuum Circuit Breaker

The ВВ/РТН-10 series three-pole vacuum circuit breaker with a spring drive is designed to switch current in three-phase AC networks at a frequency of 50 Hz and a rated voltage of no more than 10 kV with an isolated or compensated neutral. The circuit breaker switches electricity consumers during normal and fault conditions, with rated load currents up to 1600 A and short-circuit currents up to 31,5 kA.

The circuit breaker is intended for use in the metal enclosures of indoor switchgear assemblies (КРУ) installed in rooms of location category 3 in accordance with ГОСТ 15150-69, with a lower operating air temperature of minus 25°C.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The circuit breakers are supplied in two versions:

• for fixed installation
• for withdrawable installation with tulip-type contacts on a withdrawable cassette.

The circuit breaker is designed to perform the following operations:

• remote operational closing and opening;
• manual non-operational closing and opening;
• automatic reclosing using standardised operating sequences in accordance with ГОСТ 687-78 and ГОСТ Р 52565-2006 when supplied to the Russian Federation: «О‑0,3с‑ВО», «О-0,3с-ВО-180с-ВО» and «О-0,3с-ВО-20с-ВО»;
• opening and closing rated currents;
• automatic opening and closing of short-circuit currents.

The circuit breaker closes and opens using energy stored in the closing and opening springs.
